Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January ****.
The Team & Role
The dietitian is a member of the Early Intervention in Chronic Disease (EIiCD) Program and is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based nutrition assessments, education, and intervention to individuals with chronic health conditions.
Based primarily at the Frankston site, this role requires flexibility to provide services across multiple locations in response to organisational and client needs.
The dietitian supports clients presenting with chronic diseases influenced by lifestyle factors, food intolerances, disordered eating, and a range of nutrition-related health concerns.
Working within a time-limited community health model, the dietitian empowers individuals to develop the knowledge, skills,



and confidence required for effective self-management of their condition.
Where self-management goals cannot be achieved within the scope of the service, the dietitian facilitates appropriate referral and transition of care to a General Practitioner, specialist, or other relevant healthcare provider.

Skills & Experience Required
Member, or eligible for membership of Dietitians Australia or APD
Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload within a time-limited setting, including effective prioritisation and workflow management
Communicate effectively (verbal, written, electronic) using brief and concise language
Demonstrated skills in dietetics and self-management techniques
Completed, or willing to obtain Eating Disorder training (Inside Out 'Community Training for Dietitians: The Essentials' Course) or ANZAED registered
