- 11 December 2026REMUNERATION: $55 per hour + superannuationROLES: Deliver a Japanese language course for adult learners in a school setting.
You will work Monday to Friday, 0800–1630 with one-hour meal break.DUTIESDeliver a Japanese language course based on existing materials, under the supervision of a Japanese senior teacher Adapt lesson plans, conduct assessments and other administrative duties Review and enhance existing course materials and develop recent materials if required Create engaging online activities to consolidate learning Essential Criteria1.
Fluent in Japanese.2.
University-educated, ideally in education, teaching, linguistics or translation3.
Minimum two years’ experience teaching/tutoring English or Japanese to adults4.
Sound knowledge of different approaches to language teaching (for Beginners or Advanced students)5.
Deep understanding of daily life and society in Japan to support effective language teaching6.
Fluent in written and spoken English (including experience in translation or interpreting)7.
Familiar in the use of IT in language delivery and course development.8.
Proven experience in course development9.
Experience in assessment management and marking10.
Experience in translation or interpreting is desirable
- international students or working holiday visa holders are welcomed to apply.
But you must be available for the whole duration of the course.
