An exciting prospect has opened for a Financial Planning Analyst to join the Corporate Services team, reporting to the Senior Financial Planning Analyst. This is a great next step for a commercially minded analyst who wants exposure to a broad FP&A; remit, within an organisation that has real, tangible impact on Australian agriculture.
You'll support the broader FP&A; team across management reporting, budgets, month-end close, PowerPoint presentations, financial modelling and ad hoc analysis, while partnering with the business to ensure investments stay on budget and deliver value for stakeholders.
About the Role:
Reporting into the FP&A; Manager, the key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with Program and Project Managers to track budgets, KPIs and milestones, and distilling feedback into clear management commentary
- Preparing management reporting, PowerPoint presentations and analysis to support Senior Analysts and the FP&A; Manager in monthly and quarterly meetings
- Delivering timely, accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting and dashboards, and contributing to the Annual Report
- Supporting rolling forecasts, budgets and strategic plans
- Monitoring the project investment pipeline and building ad hoc financial and forecast models
- Assisting with month-end journals, reconciliations and income statements for grant acquittals
- Providing decision support and ad hoc analysis as required
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- 2+ years' experience in a commercial/business analyst role
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance/Accounting, Economics or a related discipline
- CA/CPA qualified or part-qualified
- Excellent attention to detail and an inquisitive, analytical mindset
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach
