About the role
The Clinical Nurse – Pine Rivers Community Mental Health Team provides advanced clinical nursing care and leadership to support consumers accessing community mental health services. The role applies contemporary, evidence-based and recovery-focused practice to deliver high-quality mental health care while supporting positive outcomes for consumers, their families and carers.
The successful candidate will provide advanced assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of care for individuals with complex mental health needs. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, they will contribute to education, quality improvement, clinical leadership and service development activities while supporting staff in the delivery of safe, person-centred and trauma-informed care.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide advanced clinical mental health nursing care through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of consumer-focused treatment and support.
- Apply expert clinical judgement and problem-solving skills to respond to complex and changing mental health presentations within a community setting.
- Support consumers, families and carers through education,
advocacy and recovery-oriented approaches that promote independence and wellbeing.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver coordinated, safe and evidence-based mental health services.
- Contribute to quality improvement, education, professional development and service enhancement initiatives that improve consumer outcomes and service delivery.
