We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mental Health Professional

As a Multidisciplinary Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or Psychologist within the Noarlunga mental health unit, you will join a team delivering meaningful care to people who need it most.

About the role:

Reporting to the Team Manager, you will work as an integral member of a multidisciplinary mental health team, bringing the depth of your discipline to shared clinical goals.

Duties for the role will include:

- Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments across a range of presentations, including risk assessment, psychosocial history, and functional evaluation, to inform diagnosis and care planning
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing individualised, recovery-oriented care plans in genuine partnership with consumers and their families or support networks
- Delivering discipline-specific therapeutic interventions - occupational, psychological, or social - within a structured clinical framework, adjusting approaches to meet the needs of each consumer
- Coordinating care pathways across inpatient, community, and external service environments to support safe, well-planned transitions and reduce avoidable readmissions
- Providing consultation, secondary support, and clinical advice to other team members and external service providers on complex cases
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in line with SA Health standards, contributing to audits, clinical reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Actively participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, handovers, and case conferences to ensure cohesive, well-coordinated consumer care
- You will be supported through regular discipline specific supervision, with opportunities for career development, reflective practice and shared learning within an experienced multidisciplinary team.

About you:

- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist.
- Experience working with people who have a mental illness, their families and/or carers
- Experience in collaborative development, implementation and monitoring of planned interventions for consumers of mental health services with complex needs.
- Must be highly motivated and have the ability to engage with consumers who have very high service needs.
- Ability to undertake comprehensive assessment skills including, consumer needs analysis, assessment skills in mental state and risk assessment.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently manage time and other resources.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to express complex ideas succinctly and logically.
