We're looking for experienced Anaesthetic Nurses who are eager to deepen their expertise and gain exposure to some of the most complex and high-acuity cases in NSW.

This role is an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses with critical care experience to join a perioperative team, make a career change and upskill in a recent specialty. In the first 3 months of this Anaesthetic Training Program, you will have the chance to undertake observational training with a senior anaesthetic nurse, rotating between selected clinical areas, complete a CEWD led 5-day course focused on transitioning nurses into perioperative environments, including anaesthetics.

For the first six months, the role will involve shift work before transitioning to a rotating roster. Training will include SIMS and classroom-based studies.

Ideal Candidate

- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
- Commitment to person centred care and NSW Health Core Values.
- Effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a critical care area or ward experience in a major surgical specialty.
- Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster, with participation of on-calls, night and weekend shifts.
