About the Client
Working with a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Brisbane, this organisation specialises in the design and production of heavy equipment and attachments. With a strong pipeline of works and upcoming projects, they are seeking additional support within their drafting and documentation team to assist with a high volume of technical work.

What You Will Be Doing

Based at our Archerfield manufacturing facility, you will join a fast-paced and hands-on environment as an Administration & Accounts Support Officer with a strong focus on Accounts Payable. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the day-to-day accounts payable function while also supporting broader administrative and finance operations.

This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working across both finance and administration, with some processes still managed manually. Your attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities will be key to your success.

Your duties will include:

- Managing end-to-end accounts payable processing
- Processing, validating, matching and coding supplier invoices
- Preparing and processing supplier payment runs
- Completing creditor and supplier statement reconciliations
- Managing supplier queries and resolving invoice and payment discrepancies
- Monitoring aged payables and outstanding accounts
- Maintaining accurate supplier master data and supporting documentation
- Performing general ledger and bank reconciliations
- Supporting month-end close, accruals and reporting requirements




- Ensuring appropriate GST treatment and compliance with financial controls
- Supporting audits and maintaining audit-ready documentation
- Working closely with Procurement, Operations and Finance teams
- Providing general administrative support including answering phones and responding to emails
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting continuous process improvement initiatives

Skills and Knowledge Required

- Strong Excel skills with the ability to manage and interpret data
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial controls
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work through manual processes
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Confidence in dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders

What You Will Need

- 35 years experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role
- Previous experience in an administration and/or accounting support position
- Strong end-to-end accounts payable experience
- Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations and payment runs




- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping/Accounting or equivalent experience (desirable)
- ERP system experience (Epicor highly regarded)
- Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering or operational environment (highly regarded)
- Understanding of GST and Australian taxation requirements
- Experience supporting month-end processes
- Ability to handle general administrative duties alongside finance responsibilities
