About the role

As Head Nuclear Medicine Technologist – PET, you will provide specialist leadership and clinical expertise across the Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Service, helping shape the delivery of high-quality nuclear medicine services across the state. Working closely with clinical, technical and operational leaders, you will provide strategic direction, lead and supervise PET staff, and oversee the effective management of physical resources and PET radiopharmaceutical supply. You will play a key role in maintaining complex standards of practice, supporting safe and effective service delivery, and driving continuous quality improvement across the service.

About You

You are an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the clinical expertise, leadership capability and commitment to safety and quality needed to lead a specialist PET service. You will bring a collaborative and forward-thinking approach,



with the ability to influence practice, support innovation and deliver high-quality patient care.

- Qualified and appropriately registered, with a relevant Medical Radiation degree or equivalent, registration or eligibility for registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia, and the required South Australian radiation licences or eligibility to obtain them.
- An experienced PET specialist, with extensive clinical Nuclear Medicine experience, advanced knowledge of Positron Emission Tomography, radiopharmaceutical safety, radiation protection, quality assurance and emerging developments in PET.
- A confident leader and change agent, with demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing resources and change, developing and implementing policies and strategies, and working independently to achieve positive outcomes.
- Committed to excellence in safety and quality, with experience in protocol development, quality improvement, accreditation and health care safety, supported by robust communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills and knowledge of relevant legislation and professional standards.
