MCJ Appointments is seeking an experienced Senior Applications Support Analyst to support a large local government organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an ICT professional with strong corporate application support, troubleshooting and service management experience.
The role Working within the ICT Technical Operations team, you will provide Level 2 support for a broad portfolio of corporate applications. You will investigate complex issues, administer user access, monitor application performance and contribute to system maintenance, enhancements and continuous improvement.
Key duties

- Diagnose and resolve complex corporate application issues.
- Provide Level 2 escalation support to the ICT service desk.
- Manage application accounts, user access and permissions.
- Prioritise incidents, problems, changes and service requests within SLAs.
- Monitor system performance and application availability.
- Maintain technical documentation and record solutions.
- Assist with application development, upgrades and enhancements.
- Work collaboratively with internal ICT teams, vendors and business stakeholders.
- Provide professional support to technical and non-technical users.
- Ensure application support activities meet ICT security and compliance requirements.

About you
You will bring:

- Tertiary ICT qualifications or extensive relevant experience.
- Substantial experience maintaining and supporting corporate applications.




- Experience with at least two major application areas, such as ERP, GIS, EDRMS, property, customer request, website, facilities or library systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, Citrix, Active Directory and cloud technologies.
- Experience within a service desk or customer-facing ICT environment.
- Knowledge of incident, problem and change management processes.
- Strong analytical, prioritisation and stakeholder communication skills.
- The ability to explain technical solutions clearly to non-technical users.
- A current Class C driver’s licence.

Project management qualifications and previous public-sector experience will be highly regarded.
