THE ORGANISATION

DVCS is a non-government, not-for-profit specialist domestic and family violence service that seeks to reduce violence and abuse in relationships. We provide crisis and long-term support services to help break the domestic and family violence cycle. We are here to support people, both during and after crisis situations as well as support programs for those who use violence, with the aim of bringing about change.

ROLE PURPOSE & CONTEXT

The Operations Coordinator reports to the Deputy CEO and is responsible for providing oversight to the functions of the Corporate Services team. This includes a solid focus on compliance with relevant employment, work health and safety, financial and governance laws. The Operations Coordinator will support the financial operations of the organisation, and maintain oversight of key processes including grants and contracting, ICT systems and memberships.

DUTIES

- Maintain oversight of contractual arrangements and funding,



and support the timely management of contract governance

- Provide support to the external Chief Financial Officer, including oversight of payment of invoices, managing credit card reconciliations, supporting payrolls and maintaining an asset register.

- Provide best practice management of ICT system infrastructure in partnership with external ICT provider

- Provide oversight of financial record-keeping, employment records, membership lists and processes

- Maintain the organisational compliance register, and identify and escalate any identified compliance risks in areas of finance, insurance, employment law, governance or work health and safety

- Build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders as directed by Deputy CEO

- Provide supervision and support to the Corporate Services team

- Support a team environment through leading by example and promoting respectful and positive workplace behaviours;

- Other duties as requested by the Chief Executive Officer or Deputy CEO and alongside the Leadership Team.

SELECTION CRITERIA

All applicants must meet and address the following Selection Criteria in writing.

- Qualifications in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Law or Employee Relations,



or relevant experience

- Experience in organisational governance and business principles and demonstrated expertise in organisational compliance

- Personal commitment to addressing gender-based violence

- Proficiency in HR and payroll systems

- Strong personal competency in ICT systems, including Microsoft Word suite

- Well-developed ability to show initiative and proactively problem-solve

- Able to prioritise conflicting priorities and monitor workflows to ensure deadlines are met.

- Well-developed written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.

- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information about DVCS staff and clients.

- Current Working with Vulnerable People registration.

- Current Driver’s Licence.
