About the role

This role is within Abbott's Neuromodulation business, which includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. You will develop a strong business focus within the NMD team for RFA, influence peers and ensure RFA is central to each territory. You will manage RFA priorities, communicate with colleagues across the NMD business, and participate in ANZ NMD leadership meetings.

Key responsibilities

- Develop a strong business focus within the NMD team for RFA, influence peers and ensure RFA is central to each territory
- Manage RFA priorities and set expectations for the team
- Communicate well and work cohesively with colleagues and peers in the NMD business to ensure all divisions are supported where required
- Participate in ANZ NMD LT meetings and provide an RFA update
- Develop a strong teamwork environment and create a culture of high performance for the team
- In conjunction with senior management, sales managers and field staff negotiate major deals and oversee tenders with customers and other stakeholders
- Roll out marketing strategies as directed
- Develop relationships with key opinion leaders and customers to develop sales and business strategies in line with company strategies
- Manage change within your own role and for staff
- Maintain and develop the corporate image and ethical reputation

About you

- Tertiary qualifications in biomedical, engineering, medical science, human movement or related field (essential)
- Additional tertiary qualifications in business management (advantageous)




- Valuable understanding of the industry process and function; able to convincingly discuss this with customers, as well as internal and external experts
- Product certified in Neuromodulation products (highly desirable)
- Selling skills that include managing customer relationships, discovery of customer needs and requirements, follow up of sales leads, demonstrating products, developing solutions and resolving problems, negotiating and closing deals
- Ability to develop and use effective strategies to influence others or gain their support
- Open communication and listening skills; ensures accurate understanding and facilitates open exchange of ideas and information
- Organisational awareness; understands agendas and perspectives of others and can balance interests and needs of own group with those of the broader organisation
- Planning and organising skills; effectively identifies, plans, schedules and co-ordinates resources required to accomplish goals
- Proficient at using Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Sound understanding of, and compliance with, industry (MTAA), Abbott Code of Conduct and Company Compliance requirements
