About the Opportunity
Genus are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team and support the successful delivery of major infrastructure, utilities and energy projects across Australia.

Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial Teams and key stakeholders, you will oversee contract management processes, ensure contractual compliance, manage commercial risk, and provide leadership and guidance to contract administration personnel.

This role requires strong commercial acumen, leadership capability, contract negotiation expertise and stakeholder management skills, along with a commitment to safety, quality, compliance and continuous improvement in a fast-paced construction and infrastructure environment.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

- Providing contract management advice, commercial support and inform commercial strategy to project teams.
- Managing contractual risks, claims, variations, site instructions and progress claims.
- Reviewing and negotiating contract terms, tender submissions and commercial obligations.
- Leading, mentoring and developing contract administration personnel while driving robust commercial outcomes.

About you
You're a proactive, commercially astute and solutions-focused professional who thrives in a high-performing project delivery environment.

You will bring:

- Qualifications in Contracts, Commercial Management, Business Law or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial or contract management role, ideally within construction, engineering, utilities, infrastructure or resources industries.
- Strong contract negotiation, stakeholder management, risk management and analytical skills, with knowledge of AS4000 contracts and relevant Australian legislation.
