Pottery For The Planet

Noosaville

We’re looking for an experienced, commercially minded Sales & Marketing Manager to take ownership of the strategies that connect Pottery For The Planet with more customers, increase sales and further strengthen our brand.

This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who can see both the big picture and what needs to happen next.

You’ll develop and oversee sales and marketing strategies across our B2C ecommerce, B2B wholesale and retail showroom channels, bringing together campaigns, paid media, ecommerce, email, content, partnerships and customer insights into a clear, cohesive commercial strategy.

You’ll be comfortable moving between strategy and execution: analysing what’s working, identifying opportunities, developing campaigns, briefing creative, managing budgets and jumping into the platforms when needed.

Most importantly, you’ll understand that great marketing isn’t just about reach and engagement. It needs to create meaningful connections with customers and deliver commercial results.

About Pottery For The Planet

Pottery For The Planet is an Australian ceramics brand on a mission to help create a more sustainable future, one beautiful reusable product at a time.

From our home on the Sunshine Coast, we design and make handcrafted ceramics that offer a beautiful, practical alternative to single-use products, as well as a diverse range of ceramic homewares and tableware.

Our business spans direct-to-consumer eCommerce, retail showrooms, wholesale and custom-branded products, giving our Sales & Marketing Manager the chance to work across a range of customers, channels and commercial opportunities.

We’re proudly purpose-led, with an established brand, a loyal customer base and multiple sales channels. We’re looking for someone who can bring these channels together through smart, commercially focused sales and marketing strategy — making the most of the opportunities already within the business while identifying new ones.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll own the development, execution and performance of our sales and marketing strategy across the business.

You’ll create the annual sales and marketing plan, identify opportunities across our different customer groups and sales channels, and turn those opportunities into campaigns and initiatives that generate measurable results.

You’ll manage our Content Coordinator and Marketing Assistant and work closely with our wholesale, retail and leadership teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Develop and oversee sales and marketing strategies across ecommerce, wholesale/B2B and retail showroom channels.

- Own the annual sales and marketing plan, targets and KPIs across all sales channels.

- Lead key campaigns and product launches from strategy and creative direction through to execution and performance analysis.

- Develop and manage local area marketing initiatives and partnerships to increase brand awareness, strengthen community connections and drive traffic to our retail showrooms.

- Work closely with our production team to align sales and marketing plans with production capacity and priorities, while providing forward visibility of campaigns, launches and anticipated demand to help inform production planning.

- Manage our digital marketing ecosystem, including Meta and Google advertising, Shopify ecommerce and Klaviyo email and SMS.

- Use customer, sales and marketing data to identify opportunities, improve conversion and inform commercial decisions.

- Guide brand and creative direction, working with our internal team and external creatives to produce effective, on-brand campaigns and content.

- Manage the marketing budget and continually assess where our investment will have the greatest impact.

- Lead and develop the marketing team while working collaboratively across production, wholesale, retail, operations and leadership.

About You

You’re an experienced marketer who understands that strong brand building and commercial performance go hand in hand.

You know how to develop a strategy, but you’re equally comfortable getting into the detail and making it happen. You’re curious about what customers want, interested in what the numbers are telling you and always looking for opportunities to make things work better.

You’ll ideally bring:

- Around 5+ years’ marketing experience, with demonstrated responsibility for strategy, campaigns and commercial outcomes.

- Experience across multiple sales channels, ideally including eCommerce, retail and/or B2B/wholesale.

- Understanding of paid digital advertising

- Hands-on experience with email marketing campaign development and platforms like Klaviyo.

- Strong analytical skills and confidence using sales and marketing data to make decisions.

- A strong creative eye and the ability to develop concepts, brief creatives and recognise great work.

- Experience managing and developing team members.

- Strong project management, communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Curiosity about emerging marketing tools and the confidence to use them to improve the way you work.

Experience with Shopify, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Klaviyo, Canva, Adobe, Asana, and Zapier will be highly regarded.

Graphic design capability is also highly regarded, but not essential. We’re more interested in your ability to recognise and guide great creative work.

You don’t need to tick every box. We’re particularly interested in people who are commercially curious, proactive and creative, and who are excited by the opportunity to take ownership of the sales and marketing function of a distinctive Australian brand.

What We Offer

- $80,000–$100,000 + superannuation, depending on experience.

- A senior role with genuine ownership and the opportunity to influence the direction of the business.

- The opportunity to work across ecommerce, wholesale and retail, with a diverse range of customers and commercial challenges.

- The chance to make a real difference within an established Australian brand with sustainability at its heart.

- A collaborative Sunshine Coast team where good ideas can quickly become reality.

- The freedom to build on what’s already working while bringing your own thinking, experience and ideas to the role.

Location — Please Read Before Applying

This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Noosaville headquarters on the Sunshine Coast.

Because this role works closely with our leadership, wholesale, retail, operations and creative teams, we do not offer remote, hybrid or work-from-home arrangements for this position.

Applicants must be based on the Sunshine Coast to take up the role.

Ready to Make Your Mark?

If you’re looking for a role where you can genuinely take ownership, bring ideas to the table and see the direct impact of your work across an established Australian brand, we’d love to hear from you.

Applications close 27th September 2026.

Please submit your resume and a cover letter telling us a little about what kind of marketer you are. We'd love to hear about how you think, what you care about and what attracted you to this role and Pottery For The Planet.

We look forward to reading your application!
