Senior Change Manager – Federal Government Technology Transformation

We are seeking an experienced Senior Change Manager to lead large-scale technology and organisational change initiatives within a complex federal government environment.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can develop practical change strategies, engage senior stakeholders and ensure new processes and technologies are successfully adopted and sustained across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive change and communication strategies.
- Create change management plans covering stakeholder engagement, communications, training and impact analysis.
- Define and communicate the change approach for significant technology and organisational initiatives.
- Conduct change impact and readiness assessments.
- Identify change risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
- Develop and deliver training to impacted stakeholders.
- Monitor business readiness, adoption, utilisation and benefits realisation.
- Identify performance or adoption gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Support stakeholders throughout the implementation of change initiatives.
- Use digital adoption tools to support communications and user adoption.
- Build solid relationships across project teams, business areas and senior stakeholders.
- Promote knowledge sharing and capability uplift across teams.
- Maintain accurate change documentation in line with governance and record-management requirements.
Skills and experience
- Significant experience leading large-scale technology and organisational change initiatives.
- Strong experience developing change and communication management plans.
- Proven experience defining and implementing change approaches for complex organisational transformation.
- Experience delivering organisational change within large and complex IT environments.
- Strong understanding of recognised change management frameworks and methodologies.
- Experience working within PRINCE2 and/or Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within required timeframes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
- Relevant tertiary or formal change management qualifications are highly regarded.
