We are seeking a reliable and motivated Metal Bandsaw Operator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in metal processing who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work while maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.
Key responsibilities
- Operate horizontal and vertical metal bandsaws to cut a variety of materials to specification
- Read and interpret work orders, cutting lists, and engineering drawings
- Measure and mark materials accurately using measuring equipment
- Ensure all cuts meet quality and dimensional requirements
- Load, unload, and handle steel, aluminium, and other metal products safely
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working order
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily targets
About you
- Previous experience operating metal bandsaws or similar metal fabrication equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools accurately
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
- Physically fit and capable of handling metal products safely
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
