Lead Senior Business Analyst
About the Role
DFP Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst on behalf of a government client for a key ICT transformation initiative involving the replacement of a critical Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) solution.
This is an excellent prospect for a seasoned Business Analyst to lead requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement and solution evaluation activities on a high-impact project that will support operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making and future technology outcomes. Working closely with business stakeholders, ICT teams, procurement specialists and vendors, you will play a key role in ensuring business needs are understood, documented and translated into a modern, fit-for-purpose solution that supports future operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business analysis activities for the AVL replacement project.
- Elicit, analyse and document business, functional, non-functional and reporting requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement activities to define business needs and future-state requirements.
- Analyse current and future-state business processes, workflows and information flows.
- Assess business impacts, risks, constraints and project dependencies.
- Support procurement, vendor evaluation and solution assessment activities.
- Contribute to testing, implementation readiness, transition planning and user adoption activities.
Develop high-quality business analysis artefacts including:
- Business requirements documentation
- Process maps
- Stakeholder analysis
- Decision papers
- Briefing materials
- Change impact assessments
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Extensive experience as a Senior Business Analyst delivering complex ICT transformation or system replacement projects.
- Strong capability in eliciting, analysing and documenting business, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Proven experience facilitating workshops and engaging with senior stakeholders, operational teams, ICT groups and vendors.
- Experience developing current and future-state business processes and assessing operational impacts.
- Knowledge of systems integration, data flows, reporting solutions and technology-enabled business change.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation, executive briefings and stakeholder communications.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within Government or highly regulated environments.
- Exposure to telematics, fleet management, vehicle tracking, location-based services or operational technology solutions.
- Experience supporting procurement processes, vendor evaluations and solution selection activities.
- Relevant Business Analysis certification, including:
- CBAP
- CCBA
- PMI-PBA
- IIBA-AAC
- Equivalent recognised Business Analysis qualifications
