About the Role

We're looking for passionate and patient-focused Perioperative Nurses to join our theatre teams in a casual capacity across Monash Health.

In this role, you'll contribute to the delivery of exceptional perioperative care while working within a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and continuous learning.

As part of our perioperative workforce, you may work across adult and/or paediatric perioperative roles including:

Scrub/Scout

Anaesthetics

Recovery (PACU)

Day Surgery and procedural areas

Note: to work in paediatric settings- previous experience must be demonstrated.

You'll have the opportunity to:

Deliver safe, evidence-based care throughout the perioperative journey

Work with leading clinicians across a broad range of surgical specialties

Participate in education, training and quality improvement initiatives

Develop specialist skills in a complex and rewarding clinical workplace

About You

You are a motivated and adaptable nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering outstanding patient care.

To be successful, you will bring:

Current unconditional registration as a Registered Nurse with Ahpra

Minimum one year experience in one or more perioperative specialties (Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetics or Recovery)

Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

A commitment to patient-centred care and continuous improvement

The ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Desirable:





Postgraduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing or a related specialty

Recent experience in a public acute healthcare setting or high volume clinical setting
