Remuneration: ASO4 ($82,212 - $86,180) plus 12% superannuation

Role Details:

Multiple vacancies are available as an Information Release Officer based in Keswick. The role will uphold legislative requirements surrounding the Freedom of Information (FOI), Provision of Information Request (POIR) and Provision of Adoption Information within the department. This detail-orientated position will guarantee the effective management of information through your diligence and accuracy. Your exemplary interpersonal skills will further timely communications and quality services, as you liaise with clients from an array of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

In this role, you will:

- Oversee FOI and POIR requests by adhering to legislative requirements

- Positively liaise with an array of diverse stakeholders to collate feedback and improvements in service delivery

- Assess and improve departmental policies to maintain compliance with statutory obligations

- Embody sound knowledge of current legislation, case law and policy to inform FOI and POIR requests and applications

- Offer thorough administrative support services to senior personnel within the legal unit.

About you:

- You exhibit strong interpersonal skills to maintain robust working relationships with clientele and staff

- You possess expert knowledge of government processes relating to FOI, subpoenas and information exchange

- You have demonstrated experience in translating and examining legislation surrounding sensitive information releases

- You are highly analytical and can effectively decipher complex problems utilising a variety of evidence-based resources

- You can work independently with limited guidance to fulfill job requirements.
