This newly created Operations Director position is not a maintenance role.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead manufacturing, production, workshop operations and operational performance across a business that designs and manufactures specialist wear protection products for the mining and heavy industrial sectors.

About the Business

Our client is a specialist manufacturer supplying wear protection products and engineered wear solutions to mining and heavy industry.

The business manufactures proprietary wear plate,



wear liner and hardfacing products that help customers reduce equipment wear, minimise downtime and improve operational reliability across high-abrasion environments.

Operating from a modern manufacturing facility in Malaga, the company services major mining and industrial customers throughout Australia and internationally.

The Role

As Operations Director you will take ownership of the day-to-day operational performance of the business while helping build the systems, processes and structure required for continued growth.

You will be responsible for:

- Manufacturing operations
- Production performance
- Workshop operations
- Workforce planning
- Production engineering
- Safety leadership
- Operational reporting and KPIs
- Budget and cost performance
- Continuous improvement programs
- Organisational development
- Change management initiatives

Most importantly, you will help move the business forward rather than simply maintain current performance.
