Job description:
Join the team delivering one of the world's biggest sporting events as the Marketing & Brand Coordinator for Men's Rugby World Cup 2027. Based in our Sydney CBD office and reporting to the Marketing & Brand Manager, you will play a key role in bringing the tournament brand to life through the delivery of marketing campaigns, fan engagement initiatives and ticket sales activity. Working across multiple stakeholders, agencies and partners, you'll be at the centre of campaign delivery, coordinating brand and marketing activity that will contribute to the success of Rugby World Cup 2027.
This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to all facets of sports and event marketing, from managing creative briefs and marketing assets to supporting sponsor activations, campaign reporting and go-to-market plans. Operating in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you'll work alongside a passionate team delivering a global event that will inspire a new generation of fans and participants while leaving a lasting legacy for rugby in Australia and beyond.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the delivery of Rugby World Cup 2027 brand and marketing initiatives, ensuring campaigns and projects are executed on time and in line with the overall marketing strategy.
- Develop and manage creative, media and marketing briefs, coordinating approvals and working with agencies and suppliers to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Maintain and uphold RWC 2027 brand standards by reviewing marketing assets, managing brand requests and ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
- Prepare internal presentations, campaign materials and go-to-market plans to support marketing initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
- Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including World Rugby, Rugby Australia,
State Unions, Host Cities, venues, partners and suppliers.
- Support the delivery of sponsor marketing and activation programs, along with the coordination of merchandise, promotional assets and general marketing operations.
- Track, monitor and report on marketing activity, campaign performance and key metrics, providing insights to support continuous improvement and future planning.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years' experience in a Marketing Coordinator, Brand Coordinator or similar role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within sport, major events or a similar environment will be highly regarded.
- Experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns and brand activity across multiple channels and touchpoints.
- Proven ability to coordinate agencies, suppliers and stakeholders, managing briefs, timelines, approvals and deliverables to achieve successful outcomes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse internal and external groups.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and competing demands.
- Confident taking ownership of projects from brief through to execution, demonstrating a proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach.
- Experience analysing campaign performance and marketing metrics to produce meaningful reports, insights and recommendations for future activity.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, with experience creating professional presentations, campaign reports and tracking documents; supported by a relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
- Flexibility to travel and work outside of standard business hours to support tournament and event requirements.
