What you'll be doing
To provide expert clinical consultancy and services within the Drug & Alcohol Specialty whilst working in the domains and the functions of the CNC1 role. The aim of this role is to improve access to treatment and outcomes for people with substance related disorders.
This exciting position will provide a mix of Hospital Consultation Liaison (HCL), ambulatory withdrawal management and outpatient clinics within the scope of a CNC1 at Coffs Harbour Health Campus as part of a senior clinical nursing team.

About You
You are an experienced and highly capable Registered Nurse with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, supported by extensive post-registration experience and advanced qualifications in your specialty area. You have a solid clinical background in the assessment and management of substance use disorders, including the management of withdrawal states, and are committed to delivering evidence-based, person-centred care that supports recovery and positive health outcomes.

Your in-depth understanding of contemporary opioid substitution treatment programs and associated regulatory requirements enables you to provide expert clinical guidance and contribute to the delivery of safe, effective and compliant addiction health services. You are a skilled communicator who is able to influence and lead change across multidisciplinary teams,



using a collaborative approach and current evidence to enhance clinical practice and service delivery.

You are experienced in developing, facilitating and evaluating education and training programs for healthcare professionals, sharing your knowledge to build workforce capability and improve patient outcomes. With strong organisational and time-management skills, you effectively balance competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of care. Equally adept at working independently and collaboratively, you build positive relationships with clients, carers, colleagues and external service providers across the continuum of care. Adaptable and committed to meeting community needs, you hold a current NSW driver's licence and are willing to travel to support service delivery across a range of locations.
