Our Tamworth branch is seeking a dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of delivering top-tier diesel services.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Service and Repair: Work on various diesel vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently
- Fuel System Maintenance: Diagnose and fix issues with diesel fuel injection systems, such as pumps and injectors.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform regular tasks like oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks to keep engines running smoothly.
- Diagnostics: Use tools and software to identify and resolve mechanical and electronic problems.
- Performance : Operate dynamometers to assess and improve vehicle performance and make necessary adjustments to boost vehicle capabilities.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Team Collaboration: Work with colleagues to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and customers are satisfied.
- Workplace Maintenance: Keep the workshop clean, organized, and protected by following proper procedures.
We are looking for someone who
- is a qualified automotive mechanic and has excellent mechanical/diagnostic aptitude
- possesses sound knowledge of automotive fitting principles and auto electrics
- is keen to learn and can work in a productive team environment.
- is willing to follow directions and able to complete tasks with great attention to detail
- is reliable, punctual, honest and well presented
Desirable
- Holds a current driver licence
- Forklift Ticket
