Lead commercial finance for a high-profile consumer lending portfolio

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Finance Manager / Finance Business Partner to join a high-performing financial services organisation and support a significant consumer lending and payments portfolio.

This is a broad, commercially focused role with strong exposure to senior stakeholders, where you'll use financial analysis, forecasting and modelling to influence product strategy, investment decisions and business performance.

The Prospect

Working within a collaborative Product Finance team, you'll partner closely with senior business and product stakeholders to provide financial insights and strategic decision support across a consumer spending portfolio, including credit cards and other lending products.

You'll play a key role in helping the business understand performance, identify commercial opportunities and make informed decisions around pricing, investment, product initiatives and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead forecasting, planning, budgeting and performance reporting across the portfolio.
- Develop financial models and deliver commercial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide insights into portfolio performance, pricing initiatives and campaign effectiveness.
- Partner with senior Product, Finance and business stakeholders to influence commercial outcomes.
- Prepare executive reporting, quarterly business reviews and financial disclosures.




- Analyse product economics and support strategic payments and loyalty initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen financial controls and improve efficiency.
- Leverage automation, data and AI to enhance reporting and financial processes.
- Manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of financial governance and rigour.

About You

We're looking for a commercially focused finance professional with experience across FP&A;, commercial finance or finance business partnering.

You'll ideally bring:

- Strong experience across forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis and financial modelling.
- The ability to turn complex financial and business data into transparent, actionable insights.
- Strong commercial acumen and a track record of influencing business decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including engagement with senior leaders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- A proactive approach and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
- Financial services or banking experience is essential. Experience within retail banking, consumer lending, credit cards or payments would be highly regarded.
