About the role

This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for coordinating and overseeing building and maintenance projects from commencement through to completion. You will supervise internal tradespeople and subcontractors, monitor quality and progress, coordinate works on site, and ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. The successful applicant will have a strong carpentry and building background and be comfortable moving between supervising works, solving site problems, coordinating trades and undertaking practical carpentry work when required.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate carpenters, apprentices, other trades and subcontractors across multiple projects

- Plan and coordinate day-to-day site activities to maintain efficient workflow and meet project timeframes

- Inspect works and ensure workmanship meets McMullen Trades' quality standards, plans, specifications and customer requirements

- Assist to coordinate subcontractors including electrical, plumbing, tiling, plastering, painting and other building trades

- Undertake site inspections, measurements and assessments for upcoming works

- Identify materials, labour and other resources required to complete works

- Monitor job progress and provide accurate status updates back to the office

About you

- Trade qualification in Carpentry

- Demonstrated experience as a carpenter with robust practical building knowledge





- Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors

- Good understanding of residential and commercial building and maintenance works

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities

- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make practical decisions on site

- Current driver's licence
