Wade Sawmill is seeking a reliable and motivated Leading Hand to join our afternoon shift team on a full time basis, working 2pm to 10:30pm.

This hands-on leadership role is suited to someone with strong mechanical aptitude3, positive organisational skills and the ability to lead a small team while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity and quality.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Lead and coordinate a small team of up to 3 employees

- Allocate and delegate daily tasks to ensure production requirements are achieved.

- Operate and maintain a range of sawmill and sawing equipment.

- Monitor workflow and assist the team in meeting production and quality expe3ctations

- Promote and maintain established workplace health and safety protocols.

- Identify and report equipment, maintenance or operational issues as required.

- Support a positive, productive and team-focused working environment.

Experience & attributes:

- Proven Leading Hand or team leadership experience is essential and required for this role.

- Saw Doctoring Experience is highly regarded.

- Strong Ability to lead, coordinate and effectively delegate tasks





- Good organisational, planning and time-management skills.

- Reliable, punctual and committed to consistent attendance.

- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and maintain sawmill equipment.

- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

- Ability to work effectively in hands-on production workplace.
