About Us
Heart In Hand Support Services is a Sunshine Coast-based NDIS provider specialising in support for people living with neurological conditions. About the Role
We're looking for experienced Support Workers to join our growing team, covering active night shifts and day shifts. You'll be supporting participants living with complex neurological conditions including MS, Dementia, MND, and Parkinson's Disease, many of whom require high physical care support. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated support worker who thrives in a values-driven team and wants to make a genuine difference in people's lives.
Availability required:
- Must be available across all 7 days of the week (flexible rotating roster)
- Day shifts can start as early as 6:00 am
- Active night shift availability essential
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing high-quality, person-centred support to participants living with neurological conditions such as MS, Dementia, MND, and Parkinson's Disease
- Delivering high physical care support, including manual handling, transfers, and mobility assistance
- Assisting with personal care, daily living tasks, and community access
- Supporting participants overnight during active night shifts, including responding to needs as they arise
- Working collaboratively with our care team, families, and allied health professionals
- Accurately documenting shift notes and progress in line with NDIS requirements
- Upholding participant rights, dignity, and choice at all times
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Support Worker (essential)
- Demonstrated experience supporting clients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Dementia, Motor Neurone Disease (MND), and Parkinson's Disease
- Experience providing high physical care support, including manual handling, transfers, and use of mobility/hoisting equipment
- Genuine flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster, including early starts and active nights
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach — particularly for overnight support
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Reliable, qualified, and compassionate approach to care
Required Qualifications & Checks
Applicants must hold (or be willing to obtain prior to starting):
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (clearance)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module ("Quality, Safety and You") certificate
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card) — if applicable to role
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) — desirable
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle - fully comprehensive insurance to cover work purposes.
- Right to work in Australia
