Job description:

Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Grade 1 or 2 Physiotherapist to join the Northern Health Physiotherapy department on a casual basis.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.

About the Role:

The casual physiotherapist has responsibility for the provision of high level, evidence-based physiotherapy care. They must be flexible in service delivery models to adjust to the needs of patients across the healthcare continuum.



The casual Grade 1 or 2 Physiotherapist may provide informal supervision of Grade 1 physiotherapists or supervision of Allied Health Assistants. The role is expected to provide clinical care across acute, subacute and community programs across all campuses of Northern Health on a casual basis.

This role is for weekday Monday- Friday employment. Please state in your cover letter your availability and which area of Northern Health you'd prefer to work in (acute, sub-acute, community).

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Well-developed organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated sound clinical skills
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Competent computer skills particularly in Word Processing and Internet use, and the ability to learn dedicated software
