DNA Recruitment is partnering with a well-established global leader in automatic access solutions to recruit a hands-on Service Technician for its growing Perth team.
This opportunity is suitable for experienced automatic-door technicians, as well as electricians, mechanical technicians, security technicians and tradespeople with strong fault-finding and transferable skills.
The Role
You will travel to commercial and government sites across Perth to install, service and maintain automatic access systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing and commissioning automatic doors, gates and roller shutters
- Completing preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
- Attending breakdowns and reactive service calls
- Repairing or replacing motors, sensors, controls and mechanical components
- Completing service reports and communicating professionally with customers
- Participating in a paid after-hours roster once fully trained
- Occasionally travelling to regional WA when required
About You
You may already be an automatic-door, gate or roller-shutter technician. Alternatively, you could come from one of the following backgrounds:
- Electrical or electromechanical servicing
- Access control,
security or fire systems
- Mechanical fitting or automotive mechanics
- Garage doors, industrial doors or loading docks
- Carpentry, installation or field-service work
You will also bring:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability
- Confidence using hand and power tools
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage daily service calls
- Reliable, safety-focused and team-oriented approach
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Australian working rights
A White Card is preferred but can be obtained. The successful applicant must also complete relevant police and working-with-children checks.
