Legal Counsel - Corporate & Regulatory - 4 + Years PQE

Due to growth our client is looking for a Legal Counsel to join their impressive team and work closely with their General Counsel. The role is incredibly broad encompassing competition and regulatory matters, infrastructure projects, corporate and commercial agreements, transactions, technology and government engagement.

Base pay range
n
A$165,/yr - A$225,/yr
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Draft, review, and negotiate complex procurement contracts covering critical categories such as supply, automation, maintenance, IT infrastructure, vertical solutions, security, and electricity supply.
n
Advise on a variety of competition issues encompassing potential misuse of market power, access and price fairness, unfair contract terms, vertical integration and exclusive dealing.
n
Provide strategic legal advice on automation projects, technology integration, and major procurement initiatives across the terminal network.
n
Advise on JV's and M&A; transactions and activity.
n




Prepare submissions to major inquiries and reviews to various regulatory bodies.
n

Required Skills
n
n
4+ years' PQE gained in a top-tier, mid-tier or in-house legal workplace, ideally within corporate M&A;, competition, logistics or other regulated industry.
n
Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law, with some competition exposure.
n
Solid interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels of the organisation.
n
Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
n
Team-oriented mindset, with a collaborative and qualified working style.
n
