In ANZ, that comes to life through a collaborative, down-to-earth culture where people are trusted to take ownership, share ideas and make an impact.
As we continue to strengthen our ANZ Commercial team, we are looking for two commercially driven National Account Managers to take ownership of key customer portfolios across Big W, Pharmacy and the Automotive channel, including Bapcor and Repco.
These are high-visibility roles with genuine ownership. You’ll lead key customer relationships, shape long-term strategy and work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable, profitable growth.
If you’re looking for a role where you can influence the direction of your accounts, make decisions and have a real impact on the broader business, we’d love to hear from you.
At Energizer, you’ll be part of a lean, collaborative ANZ team where your contribution is visible and your ideas are valued.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Own nationally significant customer relationships and make a genuine commercial impact
- Shape customer strategy rather than simply execute an existing plan
- Work with globally recognised brands across well-established categories
- Partner directly with senior leaders and experienced commercial colleagues
- Gain broad exposure across Marketing, Category, Finance, Supply Chain and Field Sales
- Work in an environment that values trust, accountability, collaboration and initiative
- Build your capability and career within a global organisation
- Enjoy flexible working arrangements wherever possible
About the role
As National Account Manager, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of your customer portfolio,
developing and executing strategies that create value for both our customers and Energizer.
You’ll build trusted customer partnerships, lead Joint Business Planning, identify recent growth opportunities and take ownership of the commercial performance of your accounts.
You’ll also play an important role internally, bringing the customer perspective into the business and working cross-functionally to turn strategy into action.
What you’ll do
Lead customer growth
- Develop and execute clear customer strategies and Joint Business Plans
- Deliver sales, margin, volume, market share and distribution objectives
- Identify growth opportunities using customer, category and shopper insights
- Optimise range, pricing, promotions, distribution and merchandising
- Build sustainable, long-term commercial plans for your customers
Own commercial performance
- Manage customer P&Ls; and trade investment with a strong focus on ROI
- Lead customer negotiations and management of trading terms
- Develop promotional plans across in-store and digital channels
- Use data and insights to make informed commercial decisions
- Monitor performance and proactively identify risks and opportunities
Build strong customer partnerships
- Develop trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders
- Lead Joint Business Planning and strategic customer conversations
- Become a credible partner who understands both the customer’s priorities and our own
- Bring the voice of the customer into internal decision-making
Collaborate across the business
- Partner closely with Marketing, Category, Finance, Supply Chain and Field Sales
- Work with Supply Chain to support strong service levels and forecasting
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that deliver customer and business outcomes
- Share insights, ideas and learnings across the broader ANZ Commercial team
About you
- You’re commercially curious, relationship-focused and energised by finding opportunities to grow a business.
- You’re comfortable taking ownership, working across different stakeholders and balancing strategic thinking with strong execution.
-
Experience in FMCG account management, major retail or a comparable commercial environment
- Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of customer P&L; management
- Experience negotiating and influencing across different stakeholder levels
- Confidence using data to identify insights and translate them into action
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, collaborative approach and genuine growth mindset
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint capability
- Experience with Circana/IRI, QScan, QCheckout or similar platforms would be advantageous
- Most importantly, we’re looking for people with strong commercial capability, curiosity and the ability to build great partnerships.
If you don’t tick every box but believe you have the experience and potential to succeed in the role, we’d still encourage you to apply.
