About the Apprenticeship

We’re offering a 9-month hands-on tattoo apprenticeship in Brisbane designed to take you from the fundamentals through to tattooing real clients.

You’ll learn in a professional studio environment, work alongside experienced artists, and develop the technical, creative and professional skills needed to become a working tattoo artist.

This isn’t a short course or something you can do casually — it requires commitment, consistency and a strong work ethic.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Learning fundamental tattoo techniques using practice skin
- Developing your drawing and tattooing skills
- Observing and assisting experienced tattoo artists
- Supporting day-to-day studio operations
- Learning professional hygiene and studio standards
- Building confidence and understanding how a professional studio operates
- Progressing towards tattooing real clients as your skills develop

Apprenticeship Details

- 9-month structured program
- 3 days per week
- Monday–Wednesday or Thursday–Saturday




- Full days starting from 9:00 AM
- Based in our Brisbane studio

Important to Know

- This is an unpaid apprenticeship
- The program requires a significant time commitment
- Most apprentices maintain a separate job alongside their apprenticeship
- The first few months can be challenging and involve a lot of learning, practice and studio work before progressing to tattooing

- Comfortable working in a busy studio environment
- A portfolio of artwork is preferred
