Casual Warehouse Labourer (2 Days/Week)Brisbane Scrap Metal is seeking a fit, motivated, and reliable Casual Warehouse Labourer to join our team in Brisbane until the end of the year. This casual position requires availability for exactly two days per week: Wednesdays and Thursdays, working from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This role is based entirely within our warehouse facility and involves sorting indoor recyclable materials, processing stock, and maintaining a secure, organized workspace. Role Overview

- Position Type: Casual (2 Days per week)
- Days Required: Wednesday and Thursday only
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (8-hour shift)
- Location: Brisbane, QLD
- Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Key Responsibilities

- Material Sorting: Identify, separate, and grade various indoor ferrous and non-ferrous metals, e-waste, or components.
- Processing & Stripping: Use hand tools, power tools, or specialized warehouse machinery to dismantle and prepare metals for recycling.
- Warehouse Upkeep: Keep aisles, sorting bays, and packing areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to comply with safety regulations.
- Despatch Prep: Securely pack, weigh, and label processed materials onto pallets or into stillages ready for transport.




- Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all Work Health and Safety (WHS) protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Availability: Must be fully available to work 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM every Wednesday and Thursday until end of this year.
- Physical Fitness: Capability to handle heavy lifting, packing, and repetitive manual tasks in a warehouse environment.
- Work Ethic: Strong reliability, punctuality, and a safety-first mindset.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions accurately and work well within a close-knit warehouse team. Preferable if you can speak farsi/dari or urdu/hindi.
- Licences (Preferred but not essential): A current Forklift (LF) ticket or White Card will be highly regarded.
- Experience: Prior experience in warehouse picking/packing, factory work, or labouring is a plus but not mandatory.
