About the role

We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated trade qualified Panel Beaters to join a agile team. This is a 38 hours per week, full time permanent position.

Key responsibilities

- Removing damaged panels and parts, and removing upholstery and accessories to gain access
- Removing dents by hammering panels
- Straightening damaged vehicles and parts using mechanical and hydraulic equipment
- Replacing badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels
- Filling depressions with plastic filler, and filing, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces
- Cutting and joining replacement sections using welding equipment
- Fitting repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and refitting body hardware such as door locks and trims
- May spray-paint vehicles
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area

About you

- Minimum qualifications AQF Certificate III Auto Body Repair or equivalent or relevant experience
- Minimum of at least five years of relevant experience in the trade in the repair industry
- Repairs damage to metal, fibreglass and plastic body work on vehicles and forms replacement vehicle panels




- Proven experience working on all types of vehicles, performing a variety of tasks, with specialized skills in assembly
- Keen eye for detail and commitment to quality
- Work well in a team environment

Remuneration

$80,000 to $100,000 depending skill level and experience. Remuneration will reflect current market conditions and industry award rates. To be discussed with the successful applicant.
