We are preparing to launch a new Japanese-style grilled Wagyu burger concept in Brisbane and are looking for an experienced, hands-on Restaurant Manager to join us from the early stage of the business.

Our concept focuses on freshly grilled Wagyu beef, Japanese-inspired flavours and a simple, high-quality fast-casual dining experience.

This is not just a short-term management position. We are looking for someone who is interested in becoming a long-term partner in the growth of the business, helping us build strong systems, a great team and a successful restaurant operation.

The right person will have the opportunity to grow with the brand as the business develops.

Key Responsibilities

- Help establish smooth day-to-day restaurant operations
- Develop efficient kitchen and front-of-house workflows
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation
- Recruit, train and manage staff
- Manage rosters and labour efficiency
- Oversee stock, ordering and inventory control
- Monitor food waste and operating costs
- Maintain strong customer service standards
- Help establish practical operating procedures and staff standards
- Identify operational issues and recommend improvements
- Work closely with the owners on the ongoing development of the business

What We Are Looking For

- Previous restaurant, café, quick food or hospitality management experience




- Strong hands-on operational experience
- Experience in burgers, grill, QSR or fast-casual restaurants is highly regarded
- New restaurant opening experience is desirable
- Good understanding of kitchen workflow and restaurant operations
- Experience in staff training and team management
- Understanding of food cost, labour cost, stock control and waste management
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, organised and detail-focused
- Someone who takes ownership and treats the business as more than just a job

Pay & Opportunity

- Casual position
- $38 per hour + applicable penalty rates
