What we need

Due to recent targeted growth and an increase in tendering opportunities, we are currently seeking a full time Estimator to join our team working out of our North Lakes Office / Hybrid arrangement. Must have Estimating experience in Utilities and Civil infrastructure.

Key Duties

- Review of contract documents including scope of works, specifications, etc. at tender stage.

- Develop lump sum pricing/bill of quantities on a range of civil, utility and infrastructure projects using first principle estimates and open market quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.

- Risk management and secure construction techniques when developing construction methodologies and programs with construction team.

- Manage multiple tenders at any one time.

- Produce tenders from $0.5 million to $15 million.

- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing and negotiate subcontract terms and conditions.

- Assisting the Construction and Commercial Teams to identify and prepare variations and EOT's in accordance with the head contract.

Skills & Experience Required

- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Engineering.

- Background in civil infrastructure or utilities





- Strong understanding of buildability, sequencing, risk, and productivity

- Strong organisational and Time-Management Skills.

- Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.

- Ability to work in isolation to meet deadlines.

- Excellent MS Excel skills with ability to construct MS Excel spreadsheets to suit relevant tenders.
