Monadelphous is looking for experienced Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers with GTG Experience to join our Engineering Construction division on a major energy infrastructure project in regional Queensland.

Located in Chinchilla, Queensland, these are 2:1 roster roles and an excellent opportunity to join an experienced project team delivering structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) construction works for a major energy company.

Working closely with the project, engineering and construction teams, you'll play a key role in the planning, coordination and delivery of SMP works, supporting the successful execution of a major energy infrastructure project.

We are seeking candidates across Project Engineer and Senior Project Engineer levels, with experience working on major energy, resources, mining, oil & gas or heavy industrial projects. Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) experience is highly desirable, with experience on LM2500XPRESS packages particularly advantageous.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Support or lead the planning, coordination and delivery of SMP construction works, ensuring activities are delivered safely, to schedule and in accordance with project requirements.
- Coordinate engineering,



construction, procurement and subcontractor interfaces to ensure effective delivery of project scope.
- Review engineering deliverables, drawings, specifications and construction methodologies, identifying and resolving technical and construction issues.
- Prepare and manage key project documentation including work packs, ITPs, RFIs, technical queries, progress reporting and quality documentation.
- Monitor project progress, schedule, costs and forecasts, supporting effective project controls and reporting.
- Liaise with construction teams, client representatives, engineering teams, suppliers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
- For Senior Project Engineers, provide technical leadership and mentoring to Project Engineers and take ownership of complex engineering and construction interfaces, with a focus on successful project delivery.

What you’ll bring:

- Degree-qualified Engineer in Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline, with demonstrated experience in Project Engineering or Senior Project Engineering roles.
- Proven experience delivering SMP construction projects within the energy, resources, mining, oil & gas or heavy industrial sectors, with strong knowledge of construction methodologies and engineering interfaces.
- Experience working on Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) projects is highly desirable, with candidates possessing LM2500XPRESS package experience strongly preferred.




- Experience with LM2500XPRESS GTG packages, including exposure to the gas turbine enclosure and associated auxiliaries such as lube oil and cooling systems, inlet air evaporative cooling, high inertia generator and associated auxiliaries, generator circuit breaker and control house, will be highly regarded.
- Strong experience managing construction documentation, technical queries, engineering deliverables, QA/QC requirements and multidisciplinary interfaces.
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting and change management, with the communication skills to effectively engage with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
