Business Development

Full-Time

VIC

Build relationships that lead to better care.

At Leora Healthcare, business development is not about pushing a product. It is about earning trust, understanding what people need and making it easier for clients, families and referrers to access the right support.

As our Business Development Representative, you will own referral opportunities from the first conversation through to service commencement. You will be equally comfortable building a healthy pipeline in CRM, speaking with a family navigating care options, and meeting Support Coordinators, hospital teams or community partners in the field.

About Leora Healthcare

Leora Healthcare has been caring for the community since 2008. We provide disability and aged care services designed to help people live with dignity, independence, and choice. Our vision is to be the most trusted care provider, and our mission is to empower people.

Our values – Clients First, Masterful Simplicity, Unleash Potential and Do the Right Thing – shape how we work with clients, alliances and each other. We are growing our presence in Melbourne and are looking for someone who can combine commercial drive with genuine care for people.

The opportunity

This is a hands-on growth role spanning business development, referral partnerships, and client intake. You will generate new opportunities across our disability and aged care services, including home and community care, complex support, NDIS, Support at Home and private care.

Success will come from building trusted local partnerships following through consistently, converting the right opportunities and creating a clear, respectful journey for every prospective client.

What you'll do

- Build referral relationships with Support Coordinators, Local Area Coordinators, social workers, allied health professionals, hospitals,

rehabilitation services and community groups.
- Generate, qualify and convert new enquiries across NDIS, aged care and private care services, from everyday in-home support through to complex care and accommodation.
- Own a high-volume pipeline from first contact to service commencement, providing responsive follow-up and a human, well-coordinated client experience.
- Understand each person’s goals, needs, funding and circumstances, then clearly explain suitable service options without pressure or jargon.
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM records, next steps, forecasts and conversion activity, so the team has a reliable view of the pipeline.
- Partner with Operations, Clinical, Rostering and Marketing to match service capacity and support a smooth onboarding handover.
- Represent Leora at expos, industry forums, networking events and community activities across Melbourne, including occasional events outside standard business hours.
- Understand local market trends, referral opportunities and sector developments, and share insights that strengthen our growth approach and client experience.

About you

- A proven track record in business development, sales, account management, intake or client acquisition, with confidence working towards targets.
- Experience managing a busy mix of phone, digital and face-to-face conversations while maintaining high-quality follow-up.
- Strong relationship-building, presentation, and influencing skills, with the judgement to balance commercial outcomes and client needs.

- A calm organised and solution-focused approach; you can prioritise competing opportunities without losing the human connection.
- Experience using a CRM to manage a pipeline and report activity
- NDIS, aged care, home care, allied health or community services knowledge is highly regarded; solid relevant sales experience and the ability to learn quickly are also welcome.
- A current Victorian driver’s licence and willingness to travel across Melbourne and attend occasional evening or weekend events.

Why join Leora?

- Reward for impact: competitive base salary, superannuation, and performance-based discretionary bonus.
- Flexibility that fits the work: a hybrid role combining home, community and partner visits.
- Real development: practical mentoring, learning opportunities and career pathways in a growing organisation.
- Personal Passion Grant: access to support for a hobby or passion project outside work.
- Wellbeing that is easy to access: fitness benefits and unrestricted, confidential access to Leora’s mental health and wellbeing platform.
- A connected culture: monthly socials, cultural celebrations, community initiatives and genuine recognition of milestones and wins.
