About the Role

The Contract Manager supports the Procurement and Contracts Management Team in tracking and maintaining systematic approaches to the acquisition of a variety of services to the Digital Platforms Division. The role will identify initiatives seeking continuous improvement in procurement and contract management practices and standards as well as ensuring the organisation complies with all relevant policies.

Key Accountabilities

- Lead procurement projects and set direction for team delivery, including scoping work, allocating procurements to team members, and ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with organisational priorities.

- Stakeholder engagement and influencing, advising Executive Director-level stakeholders and negotiating with vendor CEOs to achieve strong commercial and strategic outcomes.

- Define and maximises value add and/or return of investment in business cases, contract terms, or service delivery agreements. Use broad understanding of procurement and finance concepts to inform expenditure decisions and manage risks.

- Demonstrated leadership and people management capability, including line management of VPS 4 staff, mentoring team members, and fostering a high-performing, accountable, and collaborative procurement function.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following attributes:

- Proven project and program management expertise delivering complex initiatives on time and within agreed parameters.





- Strong understanding of government governance, confidentiality and procurement management.

- Experience developing and implementing procurement and contract management related projects and service delivery frameworks.

- Experience in establishing metrics that evaluate quality and effectiveness of work delivered; models and encourages new and different approaches, ways of working and solutions that will deliver outcomes beyond client or stakeholder expectations. .

- High proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams.
