Phoenix Source & Select is recruiting for an established Australian manufacturer specialising in the manufacture, repair and refurbishment of heavy railway machinery and equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrician looking for ongoing, stable work in a clean workshop environment, with a genuine pathway to permanent employment.

What you'll be doing

This isn't building or facilities maintenance. You'll be working directly on specialised heavy machinery and rail equipment.

Your day will include:

- Wiring new machinery and equipment
- Installing electrical components, cables and control panels
- Reading electrical drawings and schematics
- Testing and commissioning electrical systems
- Troubleshooting and fault finding
- Repairing and replacing electrical components during equipment refurbishments
- Working with motors, sensors, relays and control systems
- Working alongside fitters, boilermakers and other trades during machinery builds

What we're looking for

You must be a qualified Electrician with a current NSW Electrical Licence and solid industrial experience.

We're particularly interested in electricians who have worked on heavy machinery,



mining equipment, trucks or buses, steel manufacturing, processing plants or large industrial equipment.

You'll also need strong fault finding skills, confidence reading electrical schematics and a valuable level of physical fitness and mobility. The role involves regular bending, kneeling, crouching and working underneath and around large machinery, along with manual handling up to 20kg.

Technical ability is important, but so is attitude.

We're looking for someone reliable, level headed and confident who works well alongside other trades. Someone who can communicate directly, handle different personalities professionally, adapt when things change and simply get on with the job.
