Early Childhood Teacher

Casual | Latrobe City Council Preschools

Hourly rate: $42.56 – $73.70 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience in accordance with the Early Education Employees Agreement 2020 (EEEA).

We're looking for passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teachers to join our Preschool team in a Casual capacity.

In this role, you'll lead the planning and delivery of high-quality educational programs that support children to learn, develop and thrive. Working closely with educators, families and the broader community, you'll help create positive early learning experiences that set children up for future success.

What You’ll be Doing

- Planning, implementing and evaluating engaging educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning and Development Framework and National Quality Framework.
- Building strong partnerships with children,



families and educators to support positive learning and development outcomes.
- Leading and mentoring Early Childhood Educators while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Preschool service.
- Identifying and supporting additional needs for children and working collaboratively with families and specialist support services when required
- Maintaining children's developmental records, documentation and program planning in line with regulatory requirements.
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and fostering a welcoming, inclusive learning environment for all children and families.

About You

You are a caring and knowledgeable Early Childhood professional who is passionate about delivering quality learning experiences for young children. You bring strong leadership and communication skills and enjoy mentoring others while building positive relationships with families and colleagues. You are committed to continuous improvement and creating inclusive environments where every child is supported to reach their potential

Key Selection Criteria

- A tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent recognised qualification) and current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering developmentally appropriate educational programs for children
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to support, guide and work collaboratively with educators and families




- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, relevant legislation
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications and Compliance with National Child Safety Training (Geccko)
