The Team & Role

The Graduate Nurse Program is designed to support the newly qualified RN in the transition from student to registered practitioner. Throughout the program the graduate nurse is expected to deliver nursing care that is consistent with Bayside Health policies and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Standards. The graduate nurse is accountable for maintaining knowledge and skills ensuring they work within their scope of practice to provide high quality care to patients and clients.



The RN works competently within their scope of practice to deliver safe, evidence-based, person-centred care to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

Hold, or be eligible for, registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse by 30 June 2027
Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for consumers
Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with experience
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Able to use basic computer software applications
Clinical documentation skills using clear, concise and grammatically correct language
Effective communication and the ability to relate to consumers from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.
