Bayswater

Speedpanel at Bayswater, VIC, is looking for an experienced ICT Business Analyst to join the team. Speedpanel is an Australian owned and operated manufacturer of lightweight fire rated and acoustic wall systems, and one of the most recognised names in its field across the local construction industry. The technology behind the product was conceived in the late 1980s by a group of form workers who specialised in complex circular stairways and large suspended slabs on high-rise and commercial buildings. Working on those projects, they saw how poorly the industry was served by the heavyweight concrete and masonry walls of the day, walls that carried no structural purpose, forced expensive foundations and supports, monopolised large areas of a site as a wet trade and left a slow clean-up behind them. Speedpanel answered that with a prefabricated tongue and groove panel system that installs dry, cuts to length on site or before dispatch and needs no specialist installer, delivering fire and acoustic performance at a fraction of the weight. Those systems are specified today on high-rise and commercial buildings, multi-residential and build-to-rent developments, industrial and cinema spaces, tunnels and major infrastructure, supported by an installer network reaching across Australia and New Zealand. Manufacturing, warehousing, dispatch, procurement, quality assurance and product certification all run from the Bayswater site, and the business now wants a practical, analytical ICT Business Analyst who can sit between those teams and the systems that keep them moving.

Position: ICT Business Analyst | Bayswater, VIC

Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:

- Lead the end-to-end development of departmental process flow maps across the business, engaging cross functional stakeholders in manufacturing, warehousing, dispatch, procurement, quality assurance, sales and finance to capture, validate and document how each function actually works, and build the cross functional and value stream maps in Microsoft Visio that support time engineering analysis and reduce process downtime.
- Analyse business processes and requirements to identify where efficiency and effectiveness can be improved through IT solutions, covering system speed, deadlocks, overall system performance and integration field mapping, and recommend the practice,

system functionality or configuration that resolves each issue.
- Gather requirements using agile methodology and turn them into functional specifications, data and process models and field level mappings that system developers can build from without guesswork.
- Design and deliver system integration paths, such as the warehouse management system to the MYOB EXO ERP platform, drafting the design for the developer, running user acceptance testing after development, feeding the required changes back, and taking the solution through to go-live with the quality and integrity of the data proven before release.
- Create user and trainer documentation and deliver training to production, warehouse, office and management staff whenever a system is introduced or upgraded, making advanced use of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook and SharePoint, to support project delivery and stakeholder documentation.
- Lead the requirement gathering, design and delivery of the SharePoint IntraHub as a centralised, accessible document repository, so that information management is standardised across every department and the inefficiencies of scattered documents are removed.
- Design and implement automated form submission workflows in Microsoft Power Automate, integrating real time data capture into structured Excel reporting and triggering automated email based approval notifications, so that manual processing is replaced by a reliable, auditable approval chain across the organisation.
- Analyse sales, financial, dispatch, production, inventory and quality assurance data using SQL Server Management Studio and Power BI, applying an ETL framework to clean the datasets and building interactive KPI dashboards with descriptive analysis that surface sales trends and performance insight for the teams running daily operations.

- Use SQL and DAX queries to analyse live purchasing data and give the procurement team daily insight into purchase orders raised, quantities ordered and supplier price trends across the active vendor base, removing hours of manual work and identifying the right time to order.
- Maintain and administer the business's on premises and cloud based systems, including the warehouse management system, the MYOB ERP, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric, the MEX maintenance management system and the enterprise intranet portal, keeping each one reliable and performing.
- Lead the Environmental Product Declaration lifecycle assessment, consolidating a full year of environmental data in collaboration with the environmental analyst team to support EPD certification across the core product range.
- Act as the central reference and information source for system matters, guiding managers, department heads and external developers through the decisions on each system project, and using established project management and agile techniques to plan, resource and sequence the work from kick-off through to handover.

Qualifications and Experience

- At least 1 year of relevant experience as an ICT Business Analyst, or in a comparable business analysis, systems analysis or operations analysis role.
- An AQF bachelor degree or higher qualification in information systems, business analytics, information technology or a closely related discipline.

Salary and Employment Conditions

- Hours: 38 hours per week - Full-time
- Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum
- Employment Type: Permanent, full-time position

Personal Attributes

- A transparent communicator, equally comfortable talking to a production supervisor and to a developer on the same afternoon.
- Organised and disciplined about documentation, so the work stands up long after the project has closed.
- Confident working across departments and able to earn the trust of people at every level of the business.
- Curious about how things work, with a good eye for waste and an instinct for the simpler way of doing it.
