We are seeking a Team Leader to join our Family Connect in Schools team on a Part Time, Fixed Term Contract to help make a positive social change, together. This role has a flexible location, you can work from our Bathurst, Dubbo or Central Coast office locations, there will be very ad-hoc travel to the Southern Sydney / South Coast schools. This role is initially 2 days per week with the potential to increase hours in the future.
The Team Leader Family Connect in Schools supports program workers in the provision of high quality services to achieve optimum levels of service delivery and client outcomes in line with the Social Futures Practice Framework requirements while ensuring business performance outcomes, standards and compliance requirements are met.

What you'll be doing
- A key focus will be to work alongside the Diocese school team within their policies, protocols and processes to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and their families/carers by supporting healthy, safe and thriving home environments.
- Family Connect in schools is an early intervention service providing timely information and advice,
appropriate warm referrals and practical assistance to children, young people and families
- Oversee the team’s activities to ensure program and outcomes and key performance indicators in line with Social Futures Practice Framework requirements
- Support program workers in the delivery of high-quality customer-centred services
- Oversee a team of program workers responsible for intake and comprehensive assessment, case management and referral of customers
- Provide individual and team support, supervision, including undertaking case reviews, case audits, and high risk case reviews
- Initially 2 days per week with the ability to work additional hours as role increases in scope
What we're looking for
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in education, health, psychology, social work, social science or social welfare, health promotion or similar
- Demonstrated experience in leading and supervising a team in the social and human services sector
- Experience in the child protection arena including a sound understanding of current trends, legislation and child protection practice
- Experience and knowledge of working with people presenting with mental health and/or other complexities
- Knowledge of effective practice in contemporary models of service delivery for community, family, and young people
- Excellent relationship, negotiation and conflict management skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with government/funders,
service providers, staff, peers and key stakeholders in the local community
- Experience in implementation and monitoring of quality assurance processes across customer service programs including managing risk
- Ability to work additional hours as role increases in scope
