About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team for ongoing Full time employment in our Glenorchy (Tasmania) Office. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with accepted nursing practice, professional standards and workplace policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients in accordance with accepted nursing practice and standards.
- Work in consultation with doctors, allied health professionals and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
- Provide nursing interventions, treatments and therapies, including administering medications and monitoring patient responses.
- Monitor patients’ conditions, maintain accurate clinical records and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Promote health and assist in preventing illness by participating in health education and health promotion activities.
- Answer questions and provide information to patients and families about treatment, care plans and ongoing support.
- Assist with the development and review of individual care plans.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of Enrolled Nurses, assistants in nursing and other healthcare workers where required.
- Maintain a safe, clean and professional healthcare environment in accordance with workplace health and safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Relevant nursing qualifications.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Ability to pass a National Criminal History Check
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Working with Vulnerable Persons Check (WWVP)
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred, but new graduates may also be considered.
- Knowledge of nursing practice standards, patient care planning and clinical documentation.
