About the role

A Metal Caster role involving mold preparation, melting and alloying, mold and core assembly, and defect inspection on cooled castings.

Key responsibilities

- Assemble, line, and prepare molds for production runs
- Measure raw materials, operate furnaces, and monitor melt temperatures
- Prepare die-cast molds for metal pouring
- Perform visual and dimensional checks on cooled castings to identify shrinkage, porosity, or defects
- Maintain a secure and compliant workshop in line with WHS requirements and company procedures
- Work independently and as part of the workshop team to meet production schedules

About you

- Related qualifications in Metal Casting or similar role
- At least one year's experience as a Metal Caster
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- A high degree of accuracy with measurements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and well presented
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
