- PoV Grade 6.1 ($142,790 - $166,938) + 12% superannuation
- Ongoing, full-time opportunity

About the role

The Department of Parliamentary Services is seeking a Senior Security Specialist to play a key role in ensuring the design and implementation of a protective security environment for the Parliament of Victoria.

Working across security governance, risk management and protective security, you will lead the development and continuous improvement of security frameworks, risk registers and assurance activities that support informed decision-making and organisational resilience. You will provide expert advice on threats, vulnerabilities and emerging risks, helping to strengthen the organisation's security capability and preparedness.

You will also contribute to incident management and response activities, oversee the ongoing effectiveness of physical and electronic security controls, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver a coordinated approach to protective security across the parliamentary workplace.

About you

You are an experienced security professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys balancing strategic thinking with practical security outcomes.

- Proven experience leading security risk management, governance or protective security activities within a large or complex organisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess threats, vulnerabilities and emerging risks and provide clear, evidence-based advice to senior stakeholders.




- Demonstrated experience building effective stakeholder relationships and driving continuous improvement across security frameworks, systems and operational practices.
