EXPERIENCED MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKERS – BOONDALL

Favourhill Care is seeking experienced and reliable Disability Support Workers to join a small, consistent support team for an adult male participant in Boondall.

We are looking for workers who are:

✅ Experienced in psychosocial disability, BPD and complex PTSD
✅ Trauma-informed, calm and emotionally grounded
✅ Confident supporting periods of significant anxiety and emotional distress
✅ Able to maintain transparent professional boundaries
✅ Mature, dependable and consistent
✅ Supportive while providing structure and accountability, a “tough but fair” approach
✅ Clear English communicators
✅ Comfortable around a German Shepherd

Support will include community access, attending appointments, establishing routines, light household assistance, walks and exercise, social engagement, and prompting to work towards personal goals.

Proposed shifts:

Monday–Friday: 9:00 am–12:00 pm and approximately 3:30 pm–6:30 pm




Saturday: Fortnightly split shifts
Sunday: Monthly split shifts

Requirements:

- Certificate III in Individual Support or a relevant qualification
- Mental health qualifications or extensive psychosocial experience highly regarded
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- First Aid and CPR
- Current driver’s licence and reliable insured vehicle
- Experience responding appropriately to suicidal ideation and significant emotional distress
- Disability Support Worker – Male 35+ Preferred

Mature life experience and compatibility with the participant’s communication and support preferences will be highly valued.
