About the role

George’s Paragon Restaurant is one of Queensland’s most iconic dining destinations, renowned for premium seafood, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, and exceptional service.

Located on the Gold Coast, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding dining experiences through fresh ingredients, creative dishes, and a professional team environment.

We are currently seeking experienced Cooks to join our busy kitchen team.

Cook Positions

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu specifications
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations during service
- Monitor stock levels, ordering, and cost control
- Ensure food quality, portion consistency, and presentation standards
- Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff
- Maintain strict hygiene, safety, and HACCP compliance
- Contribute to menu planning and daily specials

Skills & Experience:

- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant environment
- Sound knowledge of seafood and Mediterranean cuisine highly regarded
- Strong organisational and leadership skills




- Excellent communication and ability to perform under pressure

Cook Positions

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and standards
- Ensure dishes are prepared efficiently and presented consistently
- Assist with stock rotation, kitchen cleanliness, and daily prep
- Follow all food safety and workplace health and safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with the team during service

Skills & Experience:

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen
- Robust understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Reliable, punctual, and passionate about food quality

Pay: $80,000.00 – $94,999.00 per year
