About the Role

As a Demi Chef, you will play an important role in the daily operations of the kitchen by:

- Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality dishes for In Room Dining and Breakfast service
- Assisting in the development of creative menus and new dishes
- Ensuring all food is prepared and presented in line with Shangri-La Sydney standards and procedures
- Supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen and maintaining quality across all service periods
- Monitoring kitchen equipment and reporting repair or maintenance requirements to the Chef de Partie




- Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Certificate in Commercial Cookery
- Full Australian working rights
- Previous experience within a hotel, restaurant or similar rapid-paced kitchen workplace
- A genuine passion for food, presentation and guest experience
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive and professional attitude
- The ability to thrive in a busy service environment
