About Us

Builtron Homes is a respected residential construction company operating across Greater Western Sydney,

known for delivering architecturally designed homes with a commitment to quality, precision and innovative

building practices. With more than ten years in residential construction, we specialise in custom builds,

knockdown rebuilds, duplexes, houses with granny flats, and house and land packages that reflect our

clients' lifestyles and expectations.

Every Builtron home is delivered with transparent fixed pricing, independent quality inspections at key

construction stages, and genuine attention to detail from first design through to handover.

About the Position

Builtron Homes has historically engaged external subcontractors to carry out landscaping works before and

after construction. As our project pipeline has grown, we have made the decision to bring this function in-

house. We are therefore seeking to appoint an experienced Landscape Gardener directly to our team.

This is a genuine, ongoing, full-time in-house position. The successful applicant will take end-to-end

responsibility for the landscaping component of our residential projects, planning and designing garden

landscapes, preparing sites prior to construction, and constructing hardscape and softscape landscapes and

irrigation systems following construction and prior to client handover. The role requires the planning, design

and technical judgement expected of a qualified trade-level landscape gardener, not general grounds

maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

- Planning and designing garden landscapes for our new home, duplex, granny flat and knockdown

rebuild projects,

preparing landscape plans and specifications and selecting materials and plant species

to suit each site.

- Preparing sites before construction, clearing vegetation, protecting retained trees, and setting out levels

and drainage falls.

- Building hardscape features: retaining walls, paving, pathways, fencing, decking, pergolas and water

features.

- Establishing softscape: soil preparation, garden beds, planting trees and shrubs, and laying turf.

- Designing, installing, testing and repairing irrigation systems, including pumps, controllers, valves and

drip lines.

- Working from architectural, civil and landscape plans, and delivering to DA/CDC conditions and council

landscape requirements.

- Estimating materials and labour, ordering supplies, and keeping landscaping works to budget and

programme.

- Operating and maintaining landscaping plant and equipment, including mini excavators, skid steers,

compactors and turf cutters.

- Coordinating with site supervisors, trades, suppliers and clients, and completing final presentation and

defect rectification before handover.

- Working safely and in line with Builtron Homes' WHS policies, SWMS and NSW work health and safety

legislation.

Qualifications and Requirements

- An AQF Certificate III in Landscape Construction, Horticulture or OR an AQF Certificate IV in a related

discipline

- A minimum of two (2) years' full-time paid experience as a Landscape Gardener or in a directly related

role.

- Hands-on capability across both hardscape (walls, paving, decking, structures) and softscape (soil

preparation, planting, turfing), plus irrigation design, installation and repair.

- The ability to read and work from landscape plans, site plans, level surveys and specifications.

- A current Australian driver's licence and the ability to travel between project sites across Greater

Western Sydney and NSW daily. Access to a reliable vehicle is required.

- A current SafeWork NSW White Card,

or the ability to obtain one before commencement.

- Sound English communication skills, physical fitness for sustained outdoor work, and valid Australian

work rights.

- Well regarded (but not essential): residential construction experience, skid steer/excavator or EWP

tickets, ChemCert, and experience preparing quotes and take-offs.

Why Join Us?

- Work with an innovative and supportive team in a reputable residential construction company.

- A newly created in-house position with genuine scope to shape how landscaping is delivered across our

projects.

- Gain exposure to a diverse range of residential projects across Greater Western Sydney and NSW.

- Enjoy opportunities for career development and career growth.

- Competitive salary and a positive, collaborative work environment.

If you are a qualified landscape gardener who takes pride in your craft and wants to see your work become

the finishing touch on quality new homes, we would love to hear from you.
